1160 Hair Brings a Chic Salon Experience
Two green topiaries perfectly manicured into the shape of scissors stand at the front doors of 1160 Hair. Once inside the salon you might wonder if you’ve fallen down a rabbit hole and perhaps Edward Sissorhands himself sculpted the leafy creations that lead to this Wonderland. Inside, delicate pink cherry blossoms sprawl across the ceiling luring visitors into the whimsical salon that looks as if it came straight from the Tim Burton blockbuster, Alice in Wonderland.
Pink and Blue for Two
Olivia Newton-John will be hosting “Pink and Blue for Two” on April 22 at The Raleigh hotel in Miami Beach. The event will raise money and awareness for both breast and prostate cancer research through Cure Breast Cancer, Inc, a non-profit organization dedicated to bringing breast health awareness and education to all women and their families. The event will urge couples to remind one another to perform regular screenings – hence their tag line “Screen Together. LIV Together.”
SocialMiami spoke with Newton-John to learn about her story as a 17-year cancer survivor and her role in the upcoming Miami charity event.
