Social Snapshot: Antonio L. “Tony” Argiz

As the Chairman and CEO of MBAF since 1997, Tony Argiz has led the firm in becoming one of the top 40 accounting firms in the nation and the largest independent firm in Florida. Celebrating its 50th anniversary this year, MBAF is an industry and workplace leader being named a Best of the Best firm by INSIDE Public Accounting for 18 years consecutively,and as a 2019, 2018 and 2017 Best Place to Work by the South Florida Business Journal.

A committed civic and community leader, Argiz has held leadership positions in several local organizations including chairing the Greater Miami Chamber of Commerce, the United Way of Miami-Dade, the Adrienne Arsht Center Foundation, Facts About Cuban Exiles (F.A.C.E.), and the Orange Bowl Committee. He also served on the board of the Beacon Council and the Perez Art Museum Miami.

With a passion for education, Argiz has served as chairman of the Miami Dade College Foundation, a board member of the Florida International University Foundation and led the Miami Dade County School Board’s bond issue campaign. He serves on the board of trustees of Carrolton School of the Sacred Heart, and on the board of Coconut Grove Cares, remaining involved with their community center, The Barnyard.
