Neither torrential rains nor the flooded streets in South Beach kept the crowd and SocialMiami’s fashion contributor, Stylist Elysze Held from the Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week SWIM Official Kick Off Party at the Raleigh Hotel! The Roxy Pop Surf Runway show rocked and the After Party in the Oasis tent on the Raleigh Hotel grounds sizzled. Then it was onto Ocean Drive Magazine’s magical Opening Swim edition event at the Surfcomber Hotel. Friday evening’s whirl included Street Style from Aqua Bendita, Barely There at Poko Pano, Drama at Dolores Cortés and Colorful Graphics from Suboo; then onto dinner at the Delano with the gorgeous Designer Duo, sisters Kalani & Oleema Miller of MIKOH SWIMWEAR.

In support of MTC’s ongoing mission, to entertain and educate audiences and artists of all ages and abilities, the SandBox Series nurtures innovative performing artists by giving them the time, space, and professional support they need to engage in a rigorous and rewarding creative process. During their six-week residencies, SandBox Series artists develop, rehearse, and perform a new work and teach a series of classes for the community.
