The Grande Tasting
Epicure Goes After Hours
Does Beyonce like Epicure, the gourmet market that has been a staple in Miami Beach for the past 61 years? She sure does – at least her producer Rudy Perez said so at Epicure’s after hours VIP celebration that brought out an eclectic array of Epicureans who understand that good food and good spirits are cornerstones of a happy existence.
Epicurean cooking stations, passed delicacies and drinks, not to mention a hedonistic desert table that presented a dynamic mixture of decadent chocolates and pastries – the quality of which rival any in the world – were the ingredients to an affair that paid homage to a love of food.
As the spring and summer months begin, fashion trends point toward sophisticated simplicity, a reflection of authentic values and a sense of lightness that is projected through sheer, powdery colors and ethereal fabrics. Paired with this palette of light hues is a trend of decided optimism – a playful expression of the dichotomy between fashion and the times.
This trend of pragmatic glamour is manifested in some of the season’s hottest accessories, evoking a quality of refined sexiness that’s an ideal choice for the chic Miami woman. Sky-high Lucite platform heels, clear Plexiglas clutches and crystal embellishments bedecked the spring/summer runway declaring that transparent accessories are surely having a moment.
