Hosted by Miami’s leading cultural organizations at Vizcaya Museum & Gardens

More than 1,000 culturally-affluent emerging philanthropists and social influencers attended the first ever Top Hats & Tinsel event at Vizcaya Museum and Gardens. Hosted by ten of Miami’s most prominent cultural organizations, the unforgettable holiday affair promoted philanthropy and awareness of Miami’s booming arts and cultural scene.

The Adrienne Arsht Center, The Bass, Florida Grand Opera, Institute of Contemporary Art, Miami, HistoryMiami Museum, Miami City Ballet, New World Symphony, Patricia and Phillip Frost Museum of Science, Pérez Art Museum Miami and Vizcaya Museum & Gardens came together to host this exclusive event for their young patrons and members.

Tedd Trabert, a patron and donor of many participating organizations, kicked off the festivities as the evening’s MC. Members and guests enjoyed entertainment and activities from all participating organizations, including a modern Flamenco performance by Siudy Flamenco Dance Theater presented by the Arsht Center, live music by Florida Grand Opera featuring Soprano María Antúnez and Tenor Chad Johnson, an electric violin performance by New World Symphony Fellow Ludek Wojtkowski with DJ Virgo, a special costumed appearance to add to the holiday spirit from Miami City Ballet students and much more.

Partygoers mingled while exploring the Vizcaya grounds and sipped on tasty libations and lite bites provided by the event’s sponsors. The evening ended with a guest winning the ultimate Miami Culture Maker Prize which included experiences from all participating organizations.
