The HSBC Be A Voice Take The Lead Gala brought more than 500 guests together at Mandarin Oriental, Miami and raised nearly $800,000 in revenue and in-kind support to benefit the 11th Judicial Circuit Guardian Ad Litem Program. Emceed by long-time friend, supporter, and news anchor Laurie Jennings, the Gala, whose theme was Dancing With Our Stars, celebrated the children our organization serves.
The Gala also featured an impressive silent auction, fine dining, and fabulous entertainment provided by Italian singing sensation Patrizio Buanne. “Each year we strive to ensure that our guests, sponsors, and patrons have a wonderful evening,” said Veena Panjabi, Gala Co-Chair and Board Director. “But the stars of the evening were Jeremy Triana and five of his siblings, whose testimonial of resilience, a life full of hurdles, and unconditional support from their Guardian Ad Litem, Miriam Freedman, so profoundly moved us all.”
The HSBC Be A Voice Take The Lead Gala was presented by HSBC and sponsored by Mandarin Oriental, Miami; Southern Wine & Spirits of South Florida; Cathay Pacific Airways Limited; Selecta Magazine; Machado-Garcia-Serra Communications; Mercantile Commercebank; and Swire Properties.
