Young Leaders Host Interactive Brunch

United Way of Miami-Dade Young Leaders held their first-ever interactive cooking and eating experience, “Build Your Own Brunch,” modeled after VeritageMiami’s wildly popular Interactive Dinner.

More than 200 guests filled every available seat at the InterContinental Miami’s Bayfront ballroom and prepared a three-course brunch, under the tutelage of some of Miami’s most innovative chefs, Timon Balloo of Sugarcane Raw Bar Grill, Antonio Bachour of St. Regis Bal Harbour and Makoto Okuwa of Makoto. Aside from the food, wine and lots of bubbly for mimosas, Titos Vodka cocktails and Wynwood Brewing Company brews were also flowing. While the chefs led guests on stage, Johnson & Wales culinary students serving as sous chefs and sommeliers provided additional guidance. Proceeds benefited United Way of Miami-Dade.
