United HomeCare® (UHC) a non-profit charitable organization dedicated to providing care services to disabled and older adults at home and in community-based settings, hosted the 25th Annual Claude Pepper Awards Dinner at Jungle Island’s Treetop Ballroom in Miami Beach. The event featured a cocktail reception and silent auction, followed by a dynamic Awards Ceremony with over 350 friends of seniors coming together for a good charitable cause.

The Claude Pepper Awards is a signature annual event honoring the memory of the late Senator Claude Pepper, a beloved public servant who tirelessly championed causes on behalf of the elderly. He is credited with advocating for the Older Americans Act of 1965 and Florida’s Community Care for the Elderly Program. “These public programs help older Americans to age with dignity in the comfort of their home with the care and support services they need and deserve”, says Carlos Martinez, President & CEO of United HomeCare in Miami. “It is still true today that to have quality of life in one’s later years often requires a helping hand, frequently more than family members can provide physically or financially”.
