Women of Tomorrow's philanthropic chair and the founder of Rosé Day speaks to us in her own words.

Yesterday, Women of Tomorrow Mentor & Scholarship Program held its fifth annual Rosé Day luncheon, which sold out to a glamourous crowd eager to help empower at risk-girls with role models and educational opportunities. The event’s founder, Marisa Toccin Lucas, is the organization’s Philanthropic Chair and in addition to the luncheon, has chaired the organization’s annual evening gala since its inception 19 years ago. She’s also the visionary of the Women of Tomorrow Sculpture at Bal Harbour Shops.

Toccin Lucas is deeply invested in philanthropy. She’s a founder at the University of Miami and a Spectrum Award recipient for the American Red Cross. Toccin Lucas received the Miracle Maker award from Big Brothers Big Sisters and the Valor Award by the American Diabetes Association. Toccin Lucas is a founder at Mount Sinai and served as an honorary chairman for the Diabetes Research Institute’s Love and Hope ball. She was honored as a Woman of Substance and Style by The Buoniconti Fund to Cure Paralysis and named a Leader of the Future by the Weizmann Institute of Science. She was also recognized by the American Cancer Society as part of the Inner Circle of Twelve and Ten Best Dressed. Toccin Lucas is also a member of both the Banyan & Tiffany Societies for Project Newborn as well as a founder for the Vizcaya Preservation Luncheon. She was honored at Fairchild Tropical Botanical Garden’s Splendor in the Garden luncheon.

Toccin Lucas is also actively involved with her alma matter, the University of Pennsylvania, as a member of the school’s Trustees’ Council for Penn Women. She’s the University’s Gift Chair and received the Volunteer of the Year award for her fundraising work in South Florida.

Professionally, Toccin Lucas is the president of LineaLuxe.com, a website offering a variety of high-end home and personal accessories. Prior to this venture, she spent nearly ten years as an Emmy Award winning television news producer on both a national and local level. Her journey in the news industry took her to a variety of stations and shows including, CBS4, NBC6, WABC in New York, Inside Edition, and WPVI in Philadelphia.
