2011 Women of Distinction & Caring

Plaza Health Network and Hebrew Homes Foundation honor five phenomenal women

2011 Fabulous Five: Rachel Sapoznik, Norma Jean Abraham, Thelma Gibson, Linda Levy Goldberg, Rosy Cancela
The 4th Annual Women of Distinction & Caring Luncheon celebrated the outstanding service, volunteerism, and generosity of five phenomenal women. Over 300 guests were welcomed to the InterContinental Miami to join together and honor and applaud Norma Jean Abraham, Rosy Cancela, Thelma Anderson Gibson, Linda Levy Goldberg, and Rachel Sapoznik. Following a champagne reception and lavish silent auction, guests were treated to an exhilarating “live auction” featuring a variety of trips to exotic locations, special jewelry and a life-size teddy bear. To complete the inspiring afternoon, each honoree was introduced with a video that told their personal story, created by Emmy Award winning documentary film maker, Jerry Levine. Proceeds from the luncheon will support the creation of “Computer Corners” at each of the award winning Rehabilitation & Skilled Nursing Centers that comprise the Hebrew Homes Plaza Health Network, the largest not-for-profit network of Rehabilitation & Skilled Nursing Centers in Miami-Dade County. With over 1,000 beds in 7 centers, located in neighborhoods throughout the county, the network serves the whole community, 24/7.
