In celebration of a half-century of work to protect, preserve and restore Vizcaya and its historic gardens, The Vizcayans will host the 52nd Annual Vizcayan Ball, this

year designated as The Preservation Ball. The four co-chairs for this year’s event are Mrs. Norma A. Quintero, Mrs. Valerie Scanavino, Mr. William J. Jones and Mr. William Meyersohn, and their diligent committee members, Ms. Sonia Gibson, Ms. Marysol Patton and Mrs. Ana Moran-Varela

The Vizcayan Ball will transport guests back to a magical and memorable time when James Deering welcomed guests into his home. The event will showcase the artistic and culinary talents of

Thierry’s Catering beginning with sumptuous hors d’oeuvres passed to guests during the sunset hours and culminating in an elegant sit down dinner for 500 exquisitely donned patrons of Vizcaya. Roberto Cavalli is this year’s vodka sponsor with all other premium spirits being donated by Republic National Distributing Company, Inc.

Silent auction donors of significant mention this year will be Van Cleef & Arpels, Nardi, Paolo Castagli, Fine Art Lamps, Ocean Reef Club and Sea Dream Cruises. Floral arrangements and table decorations will be hand-crafted by Pistils and Petals with the flowers for the evening being donated by Ana Moran-Varela of Emerald Bouquets. The Steve Chase Band will provide the musical and dance entertainment for the evening leading up to the crescendo of a spectacular fireworks display over the sparkling waters of Biscayne Bay.

The Vizcayans’ annual gala event is hosted in one of America’s premier historic house museums and captures the magic of South Florida in a fairy tale, subtropical setting. For more information on how to reserve your table, please contact The Vizcayans office at 305-856-4866, Ext. 3.
