Matthew Meehan

Born in Atlanta Georgia, Matthew Meehan settled in Coral Gables two decades ago and today is the owner of over 20
companies spanning multiple industries across the US. With a heavy focus on the beverage world, some of those nationally distributed brands include BeatBox Beverages, ShineWater, and MATI Energy.

Meehan is dedicated to helping children whose voices would otherwise go unheard, as he is the Founder of Sunil’s Home Orphanage, a refuge where homeless children in India are provided loving homes, nutritious meals, and the education needed to transform their lives. To date, Sunil’s Home Orphanage has helped more than 20,000 homeless children in the streets of India and the outreach continues to grow.

Nationally, Meehan is involved and has served on multiple board organizations including United Way, March of Dimes, Big Brother Big Sister, Camillus House, King Kigeli Foundation, New World School of the Art s, Campaign, Coral Gables Community Foundation in Miami Dade County Public Library, Hospice Angels Foundation, The Early Development Of Global Education, Silver Lining Mentoring, Dade Heritage Trust, and UAB Russell Medical Foundation.

Meehan also currently chairs a large scholarship program in Miami, a role for which he is most passionate. Under his leadership, the program has awarded the most scholarships in the organization’s history – topping $3 million annually assisting countless under-privileged college bound students with the gift of higher education. He has been knighted and recognized with titles for his philanthropic efforts by the Vatican, Italy, Spain, Thailand, Georgia, Vietnam, Rwanda, Ethiopia, and Portugal.
