On November 20, Baptist Hospital celebrated 50 years of excellence in medical advances and community service at the sold out, Gold Anniversary Ball. The 850 guests were awed as they arrived on the Baptist Hospital campus, overlooking the historic landmark lake, where the event was held for the first time. The gala celebrated the world class institution that Baptist Hospital of Miami has become.

“The Ball was a tribute to those who have contributed to Baptist Hospital’s growth and success throughout the last 50 years,” said Bo Boulenger, CEO of Baptist Hospital. “We look forward to the next 50 years and continuing our tradition of being a world class healthcare organization.”

Lourdes Jofré-Collett, the 50th Anniversary Ball Chair, worked tirelessly for over a year to create one of the hospital’s most successful fundraising events. Drs. Randy and Joel Schenkman, Paul and Swanee DiMare and Diane and Robert Moss served as Honorary Chairs. Ana Laura Arellano, Dan and Trish Bell, Maria Morales-Gonzalez and Sergio Gonzalez-Arias, M.D., Rudy Kranys and Lois Russell and Sofia and Mike Segal were the Ball’s Philanthropic Chairs. The generosity of these chairs helped to support Baptist Hospital’s commitment to provide excellence in healthcare to the South Florida community and beyond.

Long-time supporter, Radiology Associates of South Florida, was the first Legacy Corporate Presenting Sponsor for the Ball. Supporting Corporate Sponsors included Arellano Construction, Bank of America/Merrill Lynch, Cartier, Pepsi, Robins & Morton and Siemens/Med-Lab.
