West Encounters East Exhibition
200 local luminaries and art lovers gathered to view and purchase works by four rising artists as part of Brickell Gallery Nights new series ‘West Encounters East’. The event showcased work by four emerging artists with Japanese-Argentine roots including photographs by Guillermo Ueno, Lucila Heinberg, and Ary Kaplan Nakamura, as well as sculptures by Valeria Yamamoto. A portion of the proceeds of the sale of artwork went to benefit University of Miami’s Lowe Art Museum. Brickell Gallery Night is an ongoing art series that was founded by Stella Holmes, president of Overseas Realty, which aims to provide an uplifting environment that unites and informs the local community through art, while nurturing the development of Brickell’s cultural identity. The event was generously sponsored by Brickellian; and Conrad Miami; with participation from Arteaméricas.
Britto at Le Lourve
In this exclusive video presentation shot by Manny Hernandez, we witness Miami artist Romero Britto being introduced at the opening of his first solo exhibition in the Carrousel du Louvre at the Louvre Museum in Paris, France. The exhibition began on December 16, 2010 and will run for at least four months.
Kirk Jewelers Opening
Kirk Jewelers and the Newbauer family hosted a gala event to celebrate the Grand Re-Opening of their new location at 142 East Flagler Street. The new European-style boutique showcases fine timepieces from Patek Philippe, Rolex and Tag Heuer, as well as exquisite gold, diamond and precious stone jewelry, including the Chimento line which was presented in an exclusive trunk show. On hand to commemorate the occasion were City Commissioner Marc Sarnoff and his wife Teresa, sipping champagne as a Proclamation from the City of Miami, signed by Mayor Regalado, was read. Three generations of the Newbauer family – June, Julian and Alisa, Jeff and Malena, and Allison Newbauer Strongin – stood by as the family’s 64 years of dedication to Downtown Miami was cited in the city’s proclamation.

Seventh Annual Masters Mystery Art Show
More than 300 socialites, fashion designers, art collectors and renowned Designer’s attended the Seventh Annual Master’s Mystery Art Show (MMAS). The kick-off cocktail party during Art Basel was held at The Ritz-Carlton, South Beach.
