Holiday Gala Kids Family Foundation
The Kids & Families Foundation held its annual Holiday Gala at Vizcaya. More than 300 toys were collected to distribute to seriously ill children at Holtz Children’s Hospital. Guests also helped raise funds for the Second Chance Learning Center, a new facility that will help children who face developmental problems as the result of cancer treatment. Actress Sofia Vergara, star of several hit films, including Big Trouble, Chasing Papi, Lords of Dogtown and Four Brothers, made a special appearance and spoke about her support for a cause that has a deep, personal meaning to her and her family. Latin Grammy Winner, Albita, also treated guests to a rousing live performance that had everyone dancing.
