Launch of the 12th Season of the Jazz Roots Concert Series

On Friday, the Frost School of Music celebrated the launch of the
12 th season of the Jazz Roots concert series, produced and presented by the Adrienne Arsht Center for Performing arts. Frost School of Music dean Shelly Berg,
who is a Steinway piano artist, five-time Grammy nominated arranger, orchestrator, and
producer, and Artistic Director of Jazz Roots, accompanied an amazing cast of
performers in the production of British Invasion Latin Style, along with the Frost School’s Henri Mancini Institute Orchestra.

Guests included singer, guitarist, songwriter Jose Feliciano who earned 45 Gold and Platinum records and 9 Grammy Awards, 10-time Grammy Award winner, trumpeter Arturo
Sandoval, Tim Reis of Rolling Stones fame, vocalists Lucy Woodward, Fantine and
Frost School professor Kate Reid. Frost School of Music Dean’s Board Advisory
Committee members, Moon River Society members and other special guests were in
attendance.
