Carole Wien Langer and Marshall Langer will serve as the Gala Chairs for the 24th Annual NOTABLES Black Tie Gala, themed “Moon Over Miami.” The Langers have chosen to celebrate their 20th wedding anniversary and Carole’s birthday with the NOTABLES, paying tribute to the organization’s remarkable accomplishments in providing “care until there’s a cure for Alzheimers.” Eliott Rodriguez, TV personality and news anchor for Channel 4, is the Honorary Chairman and guest emcee. Lila S. and Harold Menowitz are the Gala’s Dinner Chairs, and Co-chairs include Jill and Stanley Arkin, Helen Gaulkin, Shirley Harris and Celia Schwartz.

Flowers for the gala will be underwritten by The Slansky Group at Wells Fargo Advisors, and the evening’s décor is being underwritten by Arlyn and Stephen H. Cypen, in loving memory of Judge Irving Cypen. Table Sponsors include Ruthe and Jerry Cohen, Mickey W. Dworkin, Sandy and Mitchell Fishman, Bella Goldstein, Sandra and the Honorable Billy Joel, Dr. Patricia Rice, Jacqueline Silverman, Pinki and Allan Wesler, and the Honorable Linda Zilber. Shared Table Sponsors include Arlene and the Honorable Bob Diamond with Stuart Geller and Mark Bender, L. Coulter Foundation, and Gerald and Joan Robins.

Isabel May

Philanthropist Isabel May is generously underwriting the Gala’s Cocktail Party, which begins at 7 p.m. Guests will enjoy a sumptuous dinner, dancing to the music of South Florida’s incomparable Joe Donato and his Orchestra, and an exclusive Judith Ripka Designer Boutique to add sparkle to the evening. The program features the presentation of The NOTABLES 2010 award recipients: Lorraine and Sidney Cooperman will be the recipients of the Louis C. Fischer Award, and the Lester L. Goldstein Award, sponsored by international designer Leo Koel, will be presented to Pinki & Allan Wesler. Founder Bella Goldstein and NOTABLES President Mickey W. Dworkin promise an exciting and surprise-filled evening.
