New Year’s Eve from 8 p.m. to 1 a.m.

During this roaring 1920s era celebration at the legendary Turnberry Isle Miami, delight in a lavish reception featuring prohibition cocktails and caviar bar with iced vodka pairings. A four-course gourmet dinner follows with dancing to a nine-piece band. Decorated in shimmering gold and feather arrangements, The Great Gatsby New Year’s Eve party will also include dinner performances by a group of flappers, whimsical dessert selections, free-flowing champagne and toast at midnight. New Year’s Eve
Celebrate New Year’s Eve at the New Rusty Pelican Waterfront Restaurant with spectacular views of the Miami skyline and two parties for you to choose from to ring in the New Year. Upstairs the Masquerade Gala will be in full swing, beginning at 9 p.m., featuring celebrity appearances, live entertainment, a buffet of tempting cuisine and an open premium bar. Savor Rusty Pelican signature items from the buffet, including paella, sushi, raw bar, ceviche, filet mignon and a beautiful dessert display. Book by December 17 and receive $75 off per person! Cost to attend after the 17th is $275 per person. Celebrate New Year’s Eve 2014 at Celebrity Chef Michael Mina’s famed Bourbon Steak Restaurant. First-seating begins at 6 p.m. and features three courses including a selection between local heirloom tomatoes, ahi tuna tartare, hay smoked duck “shabu shabu,” or veal sweetbreads to start; a main course selection of crispy skin striped bass, Maine sea scallops, organic chicken breast or American Wagyu filet “Rossini” with a shallot potato cake and Hudson Valley foie gras; and concludes with a choice of dark chocolate gâteau, traditional beignets or artisanal cheese duo. The second-seating starts at 8:30 p.m. and features a six-course menu showcasing Michael Mina’s classic American caviar parfait to start, trio of Spanish octopus, hay smoked duck “shabu shabu,” Maine lobster and black trumpet mushroom ravioli, American Wagyu filet “wellington” and dark chocolate gâteau. The three-course/first-seating is $95 per person, and the six-course/second-seating is $275, plus tax and gratuity. New Year’s Eve beginning at 8 p.m.
The Catalina Hotel & Beach Club has teamed up with Miami nightlife legend Gerry Kelly to present a Brazilian Carnival themed party to help ring in 2014. This year’s celebrity host will be British actress Jessica Clark, known best for her role as sexy vampire Lilith in the HBO phenomenon True Blood. Clark will be joined by local sensations, The Spam All Stars, from 8 p.m. to 1 a.m., who will be posted up on the main stage right outside The Catalina Hotel’s main lobby. The Spam All Stars are known for always keeping partygoers dancing the night away at the annual NYE party with an array of hits ranging from every genre from Funk to Hip-Hop to Latin & Oldies. Alongside the live music, there will also be a lineup of DJs spinning until 4 a.m. at all 3 buildings at The Catalina, including the Red Bar inside the hotel lobby, inside Maxine’s Bistro & Bar and the brand new Fung Ku sushi restaurant and bar. Comedian/singer Sal Richards will headline the New Year’s Eve festivities at The Rrazz Room at Coral Springs Museum of Art with special guests Guy Richards and Jerry Cardone. The newly opened premiere nightclub, formerly a San Francisco mainstay, offers an intimate cabaret space that will present exciting entertainment – everything from Great American Songbook and R&B to theatrical drag performance art and Las Vegas spectacles and everything in between. Richards will ring in the New Year with laughs and joy as TV and Broadway star Guy Richards takes to the stage with Jerry Cardone performing Sinatra favorites. Doors open at 9 p.m. for pre-show cocktails and dancing, and the show starts at 10:30. General admission seating is $50, and VIP premium seating is $60. It’s time to ring in the New Year, and Bayfront Park is the place to be for the largest free party in South Florida! Dance the night away with Funky Frank as you count down to midnight with Miami’s own Big Orange.
