Second Annual “Father of the Year” Awards
Benefiting the American Diabetes Association
Produced in partnership with the Father’s Day Council, the dinner recognized four area fathers who have demonstrated the ability to balance their personal and professional lives while serving as outstanding role models in their respective communities.
The honorees were: Thomas Cornish, President and CEO, Seitlin Insurance and Advisory Group; Juan Del Busto, Regional Executive, Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta, Miami Branch; Mario Murgado, President and CEO, Brickell Motors; Dr. Rudolph Moise, CEO, Comprehensive Health Center and Physician Access Urgent Care Group.
“I can’t think of four men more deserving of such high recognition than this year’s honorees,” said Jaret L. Davis, chairman of the South Florida Father’s Day Advisory Council and Co-Managing Shareholder of Greenberg Traurig. “In today’s fast-paced world, it is quite a challenge for many fathers to balance their personal and professional time and commitments. Each of these men manages to excel professionally and give back to the community while never losing sight of his top priority, being a loving and devoted father.”
The Father’s Day Council is a select group of concerned, civic-minded, active community leaders from a variety of professions which honors dads whose achievements and values enhance the meaning and stature of fatherhood. Since it began its partnership with the American Diabetes Association in 2000, the National Father’s Day Council has generated in excess of $10 million from Father’s Day awards events.
