Social Snapshot: Orianne Collins

The founder of the Orianne and Phil Collins Little Dreams Foundation and a high-end luxury jewelry brand speaks to us in her own words

Orianne Collins is the co-founder and chairwoman of the Orianne and Phil Collins Little Dreams Foundation (LDF), a nonprofit organization that helps disadvantaged children ages 6-17 purse their dreams in music, art, or sports. Celebrating 20 years, LDF has reached hundreds of talented youth across the world, including Miami. The Foundation’s programs connect talented children with industry leaders as their direct mentors—vocalists hand-picked by Phil Collins learn alongside a team of professional musicians, artists build their portfolios with Romero Britto’s guidance, and athletes train with coaches from Paris Saint-Germain Academy. Foundation alumni have attended Berklee College of Music, received a golden buzzer on America’s Got Talent, and competed in prominent soccer leagues.

In response to the devastating effects of the COVID-19 crisis, Collins has led several fundraising initiatives providing relief to families around the world. The Foundation has delivered more than 100 fresh meals for Jackson Health workers and raised funds for LDF families in Zimbabwe and Morocco in need of essential resources like meals and medical aid. In addition, LDF has worked to ensure beneficiaries continue to receive high-quality training despite limitations brought on by COVID social distancing guidelines. The Foundation quickly took all weekly lessons online, providing one-on-one virtual vocal trainings. The Little Dreamers also attend online group classes featuring high-profile special guests to hone skills, such as songwriting.

Collins herself has proven her perseverance—having regained her ability to walk after facing paralyzation from the neck down due to surgical complications in 2014. Collins fulfilled her own lifelong dream as the proud owner and artistic mind behind Orianne Collins Jewelry, a high-end luxury jewelry brand with three concept stores with a flagship store in Miami’s Design District, which donates 10% of profits to the Little Dreams Foundation.
