Women of Substance & Style Honored at Destination Fashion 2012

Philanthropy, fashion and fantasy will come together with celebrities, exciting entertainment and the South Florida community at Destination Fashion 2012, presented by Micky and Madeleine Arison, on November 10. Hosted by The Buoniconti Fund to Cure Paralysis, the fundraising arm of The Miami Project to Cure Paralysis, this unbelievable event will once again be held at Bal Harbour Shops, which will close to the public to welcome Destination Fashion guests and to recognize the 2012 Women of Substance & Style (pictured within).

Highlights of the event are musical sensation Enrique Iglesias (pictured) performing in concert and an exclusive preview of the Spring 2013 Emilio Pucci Collection, presented by Saks Fifth Avenue, in a full runway show.

Fashion Faves: Gingi Beltran

Gingi Beltran is a regular in the Miami social scene. This hometown girl works in real estate at Cervera and is known as a top producer.

Gingi enjoys traveling with friends and was recently in Paris with good friend and Deco Drive star, Louis Agguire. When not traveling, one might find Gingi at the Soho Beach House or dining at Michy’s, Zuma, or Nido.

On the fashion front, she is a regular at events at Merrick Park, Bal Harbour and the Design District. Though she doesn’t shy away from top fashion houses, many of her style choices revolve around items for which she has a personal connection. Caftans and jewelry that she has acquired on vacations with friends are choices she most often makes.

Kick Off Party at Biscayne Nature Center

The environmental club started by fifth-grader Daelyn Einhorn has been adopted by the Biscayne Nature Center as a formal program now called, “The Biscayne Nature Center Junior Naturalist Earth Keepers Club.” To celebrate the upcoming year of interactive science programming, the club held a Kick Off Party that included a screening of the movie Turtle: The Incredible Journey and a tour of the nature center’s hands-on resources including its Touch Tank filled with local sea life that the kids and their parents could pick up and and examine.
