Foodie Find: Lure Fishbar

New York dining comes to Miami Beach

Naruto Trio Roll

Lure Fishbar, a New York-native eatery that’s opened a South Beach location in the Loews Miami Beach, is serving up — fine-dining style — platefuls of creatively prepared sushi, sashimi, Carpaccio and seafood. Much of it is caught from local seas but among the restaurant’s standouts is the Seared Diver Sea Scallops. The meat is lightly browned on both sides, served fat and succulent over creamy truffle mashed potatoes and thinly-sliced Brussels sprouts, which impart both taste and texture.

Like the scallops, the surroundings at Lure are also elevated with rich and exceptional finishes. Seemingly selected with an eye for Hamptons-style yachting, seats are covered in buttery, tan leathers and thick blue plaids. Chandeliers hang round, in bold metals. And the walls and bar beam with deep mahogany.

Deviled Eggs

Also don’t miss the spicy yellowtail topped with sliced jalapeños, the Deviled Eggs topped with American Caviar or the riceless Naruto Triop Roll with salmon, hamachi, tuna, king crab and avocado. The capellini with butter poached crab has red Fresno peppers and uni crema and the oysters are shucked and served fresh from the sea.
