Toscana Divino in Mary Brickell Village is serving up Italian specialties to an upscale crowd, recently receiving some of the city’s most esteemed sports executives for a SocialMiami Editor’s lunch. There, tucked away in a dining room that offers city views through oversized windows and floor-to-ceiling wine racks displaying selective vintages, the group started their philanthropic discussion over prosciutto, burrata and black truffle, with cheese that’s distinctively homemade and perfectly textured. They also sampled the house smoked salmon cheesecake with Ora King salmon, pan brioche, goat chees and caviar, which is an upscale and creative take on classic flavors.
The pastas are also handmade, served and stuffed with the most discerning of ingredients. The table enjoyed tortelli ricotta and spinach, which is prepared with buffalo ricotta, spinach but delicately served with Insigny butter and sage. And the risotto mushroom and truffle dish, which — made with Aquerello rice, wild mushrooms and black truffle — has decadent, rich flavors but a light finish. As a main course, the filet mignon Rossini is an 8 ounce beef tenderloin topped with foie gras, scallop, truffle sauce.
And for dessert, the Pistachio & Lamponi and Crème Brule, which arrives with the crisp top and decorated with edible flowers.
