With Art Basel and Miami Art Week only days away, Brazilian closet manufacturer Ornare hosted designers Robert Brown and Todd Davis of Brown Davis Interiors for an interview with SocialMiami.

The design team has enjoyed extraordinary success since the inception of their company in 1994. The duo became AD 100 designers a mere five years after partnering in Washington DC.

In Washington, they built an impressive client list. Following their re-design of the British Embassy, Hillary Clinton commissioned Brown Davis to design their DC home. The success of that project led to the Clintons commissioning them to design their home in Chappaqua, New York.

Today, Brown Davis is based out of Miami Beach. The team prides themselves in starting from an architectural base and building out from there.

This year during Art Basel, Brown and Davis have been brought on by Elle Décor magazine to be the publications style spotters.

“It’s just so amazing,” said Davis, “not only with the art, but the people watching. With everything that goes on, it’s the epicenter of the art world for one week.”
